A recent song that I loved

5 weeks ago, I was listening to Abigail's MP3 player. I was asking her to introduce me some nice songs and she referred me to Chris Tomlin's album. I was watching a TV program and listening to the praise and worship songs. Then I came to this song - How can I keep from singing your praise. I was totally focus on the lyrics and the melody of the songs that I didn't pay any attention to the TV program.

I was just worshipping God there and then. I didn't sing it out loud but I was singing so loudly in my heart. I listened to it again and again and again. I was so moved and touched by the lyrics and it reminded me that Christ deserves my total devotion of praise and service! He deserves it all. Yesterday, we sang in the Tertiary service again! Here is a video clip of Chris Tomlin leading this song. Enjoy!

That's my prayer for myself. I want to love the One and Only with my whole life for He 1st loves me. For those who reads my blog, you can ask your friend for this song if you need a new song to worship in your private time with God. It has uplifts my spirit and I'm sure it will does to you.

God, thanks for the gift of praise and worship!

unexpected "guest"!

This morning was raining and the weather is really cool. I was hesitating to take a morning warm bath. Anyhow, I went to wash up and prepare to go for work. When I was getting my jeans, to my horror, I saw a dead lizard fell off from the jeans to the floor.

I was totally awaken by this unexpected dead guest. I was calling for my mom and helper for help. The dead lizard seems to have died for some time because it has turned near to black. Man! It was disgusting!

My jeans stinks and I guessed it's because of the dead lizard! Thanks to my helper who helped me to discard the corpse. Phew! What a morning to start with.

My mom is sick - coughing flu and lost of voice. Now, I'm cooking chinese herbs which I have bought at Chinese medical hall. I hope it will help her to cure her cough and flu. God, heal her soon.

3 days of "Isolation"

I told some of my friends that I took 2 days leave to do nothing. It may sound ridiculous but I know I need it. In my usual days, I talks, chats and teach but in these 3 days, I lived my life differently. I took the 3 days (1 day off and 2 days leave) to read, reflect and listen. As I live a life of a Christian and a leader in church, sometimes, it's not easy to spend longer time to reflect, to listen and to read.

I'm so glad (extremely glad) that I can do more in these few days. It's a stock take for myself. I took time to reflect my life (areas to give thanks to God that I have changed, areas to improve, areas that God has blessed me, re-aligned my life goal and plan, what have I done for the past 9 months, what's ahead in 2008 for my family, personal development, friendship, finance). It was long list and I have not complete yet but it was good exercise. It's clearer....

Next, I took time to listen to God as I pray and read the bible. I was going through a conference notes and I saw there were 2 prophecies given to me in 2005 and 2007. It was pretty timely as I was reading Rom 8-9 and Mark 16. God impressed in my heart once again his Great Comission has yet to be complete and it's needed for Christian to live their life with this in mind. Make plans inline with the GC. God will enable me and help me to do it. There is fear and uncertainty yet on the other hand, there is trill and excitement because it's going to be a adventure with the Holy Spirit again. :)

Lastly, I took time to read book. I read on a leadership book "How to lead quietly". It's a different dimension looking at leadership. The summary of the book is that everyone can and should be a leader to stand up and make choices on what he/she believes in. I read on 20th Century History. I like the book because it's an atlas of world history and it gives me a summary of what impacted Europe, China, Asia, Africa and others. I have just completed 1/10 of the book. It's pretty heavy so I'm going to take time to read. I got to listen to John Ortberg teaching and found out that he has released a new book. I'm going to get it together with Bill Hybels book.

I went for a nice facial and my mom is so kind to cook my favorite "Mee Hoon Soup" on Tuesday. Today, I had a good fun playing with my nephew and he is really obedient and adorable! I just can't it to play with him.

I'm refueled and able to move ahead with Jesus and many of my friends now for many spiritual miles. Thanks to my RDMM who knows I'm on leave and they told me they will leave me alone for these few days. Thanks dude!

JUMP Concert!

It was an awesome experience. I love the God honouring worship. I love having fun in praise! I love the high energy in praising Jesus. I'm sure this is going to be like in heaven - A 100% devotion in prasing and worshipping Jesus.

Personally I love 2 worship songs sung by Hope Bangkok but I can't remember on of it already. I think the other song title is drink from the river. I was drawn to drink and communion with the Holy spirit more. I just sat down and totally awed by His presence. Jesus, you are real and you are alive! Thank You for the gift of worship and praise! Thank you that I can make melody and dance before you freely with likeminded friends:)

Here are some photos that we took during and after the concert.

Hope 16th birthday

It was a memorable anniversary for Hope Singapore. There are 2 reasons. It was a 1st time that we have our Thai worship band (14 of them) came and ministered in the anniversary service. Next was a direct and powerful sermon shared by Ps PN, our Hope movement leader.

Ps Jeff, Claudia, James and I went to picked Pastor PN up at 11am. It was really great and an honour to be able to welcome our leader at Changi airport. We fetched him to Changi Meridien Hotel and he got some rest. Thereafter, we picked him up to Down Town East for the anniversary service. I was at both services.

Two things that really caught my attention when Ps PN shared in his message were.... 1st He asked the people in the service : How far can you see in the next 10 to 20 years. God showed Abraham the stars in the sky and that what Abraham could see. Then, God promised him that his descendants will be as numerous as the stars in the sky. Next Ps PN said that in the next 10 years, God will bring many churches to fulfill one top agenda and that is The Great Commision! I was personally stirred and I went home asking myself how far can I see and what will I see.

I want to thank Jesus for our Mother church in Thailand. Their servanthood attitude and God's given vision kept growing for the past 20 over years. I remembered my life was totally change when I went to Bangkok for a leadership conference in 1996. The message and teachings indeed delievered with clarity, convictions and power of God by our founder. I decided to re-prioritied my life and to serve Jesus and love people with all my life.

Thanks to Ps PN and the Thai worship band for their impartation and influence. Indeed, Hope Singapore is started by God and it will ended with God's plan and reaping God's results. I was reminded again to build my life and my group according to God's word. It will certainly be a vessel in God's hand to touche many lives! I'm totoally humbled!

Lets' dream big and attempt it for one and only!

Hope President is coming to town this Saturday

This saturday, our Hope Movement President, Ps Phitsanunart Srithawong (Ps PN in short) will be coming to Singapore and preach in our anniversary service. It's has been a long time since I have heard Ps PN speaks in Singapore. The last time I heard him preached in Singapore : A Healing Church Leadership conference in 2005.

If some of you are not too sure who is this president of ours, let me give you a brief introductory. I hope you will know him more and of course do help me to welcome him when you see him this Saturday.

He oversees Hope of God Bangkok Church and all the Hope Churches around the world including Hope Singapore. He is married and has a 12 year old daugther. He is a gifted preacher, teacher and of course a good shepherd. I heard that he really cares for the people in church and people close to him. I'm impacted by his faith in God. He is a man of God and I can evidently see how God used him to preach the Word and minister in spiritual gifts. God has anionted him. :)

He speaks in many Hope convention in different continent. He is also involve in the committee of International Apostolic Fellowship (IAF). Indeed, his zeal for God has impacted many people in Thailand of course all over the world.

It's a great joy to have him with us this Saturday! If you are coming, do bring along your family members and friends to our Anniversary service to experience God's presence, His Word and this family! I'm glad to be part of Hope of God family. :)

Online Shopping

I'm not sure for you but sometimes I find it tired to go to shopping mall to shop for clothes, bags or others after a long day of work. On top of that, I have to shop in a crowded area over weekend. Recently, I was telling some of my friends the hassel of shopping in S'pore and few recommended me about online shopping.

I knew about online shoppping few years ago. I do purchased books, video/audio resources online but I haven't try shopping for clothes, bags, shoes and others. Few of my friends sent me some good links (from Taiwan, Korea and Hongkong products) to purchase what I want online.

I have great fun looking at different items with just a click away. I can avoid the crowd in shopping malls and stay at home wearing a big T-shirt and short drinking my hot tea and chooing my possible item. Well there are pros and cons about online shopping.

2 things I look for online shopping is the review of the product and service. If it's good reviews my many people, I think it's trust worthy to purchase items from the website. Another thing I look for is pricing. I like good and cheap products. Thus, there are some website I would browse only because it's expensive but may not buy anything yet unless I really like it very very much.

I recently placed an order of a bag and it's my first time buying online bag! I'm waiting for it to come (in one months time). Well, there is no hurry for me but I like the easy way of buying things now.

I may consider start a online business if there is right product and do it with a group of trustworthy friends. Though online shoppers is increasing but I think going out with friends for window shopping will be still something I like to do. Nothing beats to meet with friends face to face and choose my favourite items there and then. I will do both. You can decide for yourself too.

Records Breaking on Movies

After I came back from Euope on 10th August, I have watched 3 movies within a span of 1 month. It was like a record breaking for me. I watched Rush hour 3, Evans Almighty and Ratatouille. I will rate all movies above average. It's pretty entertaining and some are touching & carries good values.

As I told some of my friends my record breaking in movies, they were not surprised. Actually many Tertiary students/young adults watch a movie per week. That means they will watch 4-5 movies in a month. Watching movie is like part of our lives in the younger generation. It's a way to spend our weekend with friends and it's a meaningful form of entertainment.

I have this little thought if Christian can be director, producers, script writers, actors/actress, song composer, animators of movies, it will be a great influence to many. Imagine we are educated 2 hours a week in movie theater and there are about 100 people in each cinema. This movie is sceen for 10 days in 10 cinemas and that means more than 10,000 people are influenced and educated by the values of the movie. Movies is a powerful tool to educate all ages of people.

Lord, Please raise such Christains in our midst to produce good and powerful movies and animations that conveys real issues in society and how godly values still prevail. I commit this arena into your hands and shine your love through this modern communication tools.
