Broken tail 'mouse'
I was pretty glad to purchase a microsoft desktop mouse last night after a dinner with Mandy. I wanted to replace the old one as it is not working too well. I was pretty anxious to open the plastic cover when i reached home. I used a sissor to cut open it.
To my horror, I accidentally cut the wire and it broke into 2. I remembred I talked to myself ,"Man, why did I cut the wire? Wah, my sissor is really sharp!" I was stunned for a few moments and then I decided to bring it to office to ask anyone can rescue my mouse.
It was a silly mistake made and I have to pay the full price for it. The mouse cose $19.90 :( I can recalled some of such incidents in my life where there are stupid mistakes made (not intentionally) but I have to pay a price for such mistakes. I guessed I will be smarter after every new mistake made. Every mistake comes with a price but it also comes with a great lesson. Anyway, this is my first time cutting a wire of a mouse.
Life is full of such unintentional mistakes. Just have to learnt it and laughed at it though it's not easy to do so at that moment.
Here is my broken tailed 'mouse'...
Anyone can help me to rescue this mouse? :)
Poly RDMM
Many people wondered how I spend my Sunday. Well, usually I spend my sundays with a group of friends and leaders in Poly group. They are called the Poly RDMM (Region David's Mighty Men)! Poly RDMM used to have 6 members (Lennon, Nel, Leanne, Abigail and Sam + me). There was a restructuring in end June where Abigail went to TSPT to head the creative arts ministry and Sam transferred to young adults group to lead a CG. Praise God for their lives and investment in the lives of the polydi students!
The current Poly RDMM is made up of 5 members (Lennon, Leanne, Nel, Colin and me). Colin is a new member and have start serving in NS unit close to 2 months. Lennon is overseeing SP campus, Nel is taking care of Temasek and Ngee Ann Poly and Leanne leads the X2 District (DI, NYP and RP).
We had meeting in my room and have a good time praying and sharing how God has blessed our lives. We had teaching and of course we planned ahead of next 3 months. I'm very blessed by this team. We shared lives together, we shared the same dreams, we shared the same love. After the meeting, we went to Tiong Bahru for dinner and we went to watched Evan Almighty.
It was a good time spending together. The program is simple but it was the friendship that really matters. While I walked back to my house from Redhill MRT, I thank God for these friends God has placed in my life. These are really my convenanted friends. Thank you Jesus!
Let me introduce the team... (Fr left : Lennon, Nel, Colin & Leanne)
Lennon loves to cook and is currently studying in Shatech. He loves soccer. He is a loyal friend and a caring brother. He is giving especially the way he takes good care of SP ministry house. He is sacrifical and most of all He loves Jesus very much. I enjoy talking to him.
Nel loves to sing and dance. She loves to eat beansprouts and hates people to call her cute. :) She is a good amour bearer and supports me. She cares for people and takes care of people's feeling well. She gives joy and energy to people around her. She loves God too. :P
Colin likes to keep fit. He runs almost every week and he likes sports. He is dependable brother and he keep to his promises most of the time. He is administrative and honest brother. He has drive and has a clear vision for NS ministry. He enjoy learnings and he reads.
Leanne just started her property agent's job. She loves and enjoys it very much. She eats pretty healthily. She is a determine lady. She has a great vision for campus ministry especially X2. She loves and cares for her sheep and people. She is a woman of God.
Here is another photo after a proper one!
Yeap, that's my CG! We are attempting greater things for Jesus in Polydi region! Do join us and stay tune as more will be made known in October '07!
Clock or Campass?
I was telling someone yesterday that I can't believe that we are approaching the last week of August. I could vividly reemembered that my niece just born to this world in this month last year. And now, she is already 1 years old.
It may sound cliche but I will still say it "Time really flies like rocket!" In a few months time, I will be celebrating my birthday and Jesus' birthday. In a few months time, all of us will cross 2007 to 2008.
I was talking to Beebee(We were course mates and she is serving as a leader in Filipino group now) about some of our friends in our old CGs in S'pore Poly ministry. Many of them are married and have kids. I can't believe those friends we shared our lives with in student days (late teens) now is a mother of 1 or 2. It shows that I'm getting older.
Time indeed passes fast but the right concern is not whether I have a
working clock in life but whether my
campass continues to points the right direction. Campass in life is more important than time in life. I can be busy with how I spend my day but I should be concern whether my today is moving towards the right direction - that's my campass in life.
So friends, if you happen to read this blog, do take a pause to check whether you have both the clock and campass in life.
Do drop me a comment on your thoughts after reading my blog too! :)
My mentors & friends
I have mentioned on saturday during preaching about the area of being accountable to our spiritual mentor. Well, let me introduce my spiritual mentors, and yes, there 2 of them! They have been mentoring me for more than 10 years and we have known each other well over the years. They are none other than Ps Jeff and Claudia. Ps Jeff has been my boss for 11 years and Claudia has been my shepherd for 12 years.
Ps Jeff is like my spiritual father and also my spiritual brother and friend. He dares to speaks into my life even though I'm not really that humble and teachable at times. He truly is a good friend who is courageous and loving enough to tell me my blind spots. In fact, it was those moments that helped me so much and grow so much. He is real and a man of God. I learnt to be a better leader under his leadership as he gave me many exposures and learning opportunities. He was there to bring my dad to cross the line of faith 6 years ago. I want to thank him for his constant encouragement and affirmation in my life. He is truly a servant leader. Thank God for his life.
Claudia is someone whom I can share my hearts and thoughts to. She is the one who called me into full time. She is a woman of faith and wisdom. We often spar ideas and thoughts on different issues in life. I really enjoyed that especially on her openness and insights. I often told the Poly students to model after her because she is both pretty on the outside and spiritual on the inside. What a great model. Pretty woman can be committed to God and don't be distracted by the things/people of the world. I learnt so much about life style evangelism from her especially her impact she has made in her family. Thank God for her life!
Yeap, this is my mentors and they are a sacrifical couple! Do keep them in prayer as they are leading the whole pastoral group in Singapore and impacting globally. Do help me to affirm and honour them when you see them. Thank God for placing them in my life!
You can tell who is claudia
and Ps Jeff right?
Lalita & Nepal
Well, I have been thinking and missing Lalita when I'm in my trip in Europe. As I'm recalling all those memories when she stayed at my house for 4 months. She is indeed a woman who is after God's heart. When Leanne and I visited her in June at Kathmudu, we could see her desire to serve God and spread the love of God.
I guess it's because I'm far from her so the missing feeling is stronger. I have often asked God to protect, strengthen and refresh her as she continue to do her job search (right now she is volunteering in a hospital before she is employed) and building the new believers up.
Do send your encouragement and regards to her if you can. A little words and thoughts will build our missionary up! You can get her email address from your ULs or SDLs. I wouldn't post it here just in case her email will be abuse by unknown user.
I know there is sacrifice in church planting yet there is so much fulfillment in doing so. I will like to do that one day and send people out to do so for our One and Only God.
Here are some photos of Lalita and the new believers and pre believing friends. You can remember to pray for them too as you look through the pics!

UL Gathering at Kakit Bukit
Last Saturday we had our 1st ever PolyDi UL retreat. It's a simple gathering at one of our member's dad factory. Many ULs were pleasantly surprised by the faciltities like pool table, nice decoration, DVD and LCD screen, nice sofa and many mattress for overnights. The member's parents set aside the place for young people to hangout and bond together through wholesome activities. It was a fantastic move to build the young people.
Of course, I was with many young people that night (I was one of them too!) and we all have great fun! We ordered 4 large pizzas and 16 pieces of KFC with 2 large wipped potatoes. Thanks to Colin who organised the event! We ate and watched 2 movies DVD. In the midst of supper, we gathered and shared something about ourselves that no one knows. We had such a good laugh and some cried after laughing too much. I laughed too much that I had slight soar throat.
Though on Saturday my jetlag is still not over, I can't sleep for the whole night. My heart was blessed through the fellowship as we shared lives together and of course sharing the same vision. Nothing beats to be with likeminded friends who serves together for our One and Only God. We want to dream bigger and dare to attempt greater things for Jesus in the campus for Him.
We will certainly able to see at least a District-size (>100) group in each campus/NS this year and next year.

Holiday Trip in Cesky Krumlov & Vienna
After conducting a workshop on student ministry in the convention, we bid farewell after we took a group photo. Then few of us left Prague to Cesky Krumlov (Southern Prague) for a holiday trip. It's a 4 day trip for me. Though it's not long but it was very enjoyable. Elaine, Pei Chin, Chee Keong, Ps Prakich, Luisa were my travelling partners.
A photo taken in Cesky
I love Cesky very much. It is a small town and you can finish touring the town in less than an hour. What attracts me about this town was the simple design houses and the friendliness of the people. It's really relaxing to take a stroll on the street (very different pace in Singapore) and I felt so safe to just walk alone at night.

Next time if I have chance, I would love to visit Spain and France. I believe it is a country with very strong culture. I'm so glad that I'm in Hope movement because everywhere we go we will have a Hope church. Probably by the time I visit the 2 countries, we have churches there already.
Trip back from Europe Convention 2007
I'm glad I'm able to update my blog after taking a break for months. It's has been eventful months for me in many areas. Let me share about my recent trip to Europe Convention 2007 - Mission Possible.
I was there last year and went again this year. It was a good experience and it's a good catch up with European friends. I hope to futher expose to European culture (post modern culture) and witness how our brothers and sisters reach and build the people. It was a 5 day convention. Ps Prakich and Ps Jeff is the key speakers for the convention and it was a good faith building one for many of them.
I had not much a problem to adjust to the time difference when I reach Prague but I have a big problem adjusting to the time difference when I reach Singapore. It took me 2 days to get over the jetlag.
Anyhow, as I'm sharing about the convention, one of the highlight for me is the street evangelism. All of us are devided into 2 big groups. Each group will be accompanied with street performances and followed by someone sharing publicly about Jesus. Then the rest will be among the spectactles and invite them for a outreach event on the same evening. I was among the audiences and started to talk to different individuals. I had a chance to talk to people from Solvakia, Poland and Bulgaria. It was refreshing for me because I have a chance to share with people who are different from me in a foreign country about Jesus.
I'm impressed by the European bros and sis of their can do spirit. One team performed break dance followed by songs and a mime. I could witness they are all out in sharing the love of Jesus and continue to invite. Another group performed a Thai dance and in the midst of the dance, they invited the audiences to join them. It was so engaging that it draws really a big crowd! I think we have make conversation with more than 10 over strangers and about 5 came to our evening event.
Chee Keong (Singaporean Brother who serves in Rome) and I met this Bulgaria lady and she came to the evening event. She is a believer and she returned the next day and joined the night convention. She is keen to visit the Prague Sunday service and she was connected with the leader and pray she will join us eventually.
I saw many things in this convention and I could see the eargerness of our European bros and sis. The desire to grow and reach more Jesus is growing. Something is growing among our Hope Europe churches. God is moving streadily and more churches will be planted - Mission is possible.
Here are some photos in the convention....
