Priscilla sent me a design link and I really enjoy so much as I look at different photos and designs. I'm so amazed by the these people who can think of different concept and ideas of bringing out the same theme. As I browse through some of the designs, I will like to share with you.

I like this design because it's cute and I was reminded of the ginger bread man in Shrek! The design illustrate family love!

This is cool, I like this guy's moves...

400

This is the number that I have been talking with the leaders, praying in Region prayer meeting and discuss in the meeting, telling God about it.

Well, for those in Poly region you must have guessed what is it. Yeap, this is the number of people we want God to bless us in all our CGs. We want to reach and build 400 people before we are going to invite a crazy number of people to our Christmas services on 22nd/23rd Dec.

We have heard many encouraging stories that people lives are change, many believers shared their life testimonies to their friends. Some of them have crossed the line and some still thinking through. I'm so inspired by the courage and love of those who shared and testify and invite!

Also I want to affirm all the specialise ministry people who are busy preparing for the pre Christmas service. Praise God for Abigail who is writing script with few volunteers. Thank God for Donald and his gang in organising the ARISE event for our sowing purposes. Many leaders were stretch during this period of time. It will be tiring yet fulfilling. I'm so proud to serve with a team of likeminded leaders to usher in a crazy number of friends to the family of God.

It's all about loving God and loving people! :)

so polydiNs peeps, stay close with God and flood my tag or blog with new happenings in your campus and camps.

for other friends, do pray with us and for us!

The Game Plan

After a refreshing and spirit charged up region prayer meeting, some of the leaders and I decided to go for a midnight movie. We went to Plaza Sing to check out a few movies that we are keen. We come to a conclusion that 7 of them ( Lennon, Colin, Jeremiah, Andrew, Leanne, Randall, Joel) decided to watch The Kingdom and 4 of us (Abigail, Esther, Joyce and I) went for The Game Plan by Dwayne The Rock Johnson.

I was not so interested on this movie but rather The Kingdom because I'm not keen to watch The Rock acting. However, when we checked with the ticketing booth, she told us that The Kingdom left the 1st row of seats whereas The Game Plan has 3 rows still available. And with some quick reviews from of the guys who had watched the show 2 days ago, I chose The Game Plan.

I had a such a good laugh in the movie theater. It was a comedy that talks about a successful quarterback bachelor who found out that he had a 8 year old daugther from his previous relationship. How he stepped into Fatherhood, how he handled changes and most of all, what he view as most important in his life. I must comment that Dwayne The Rock Johnson has a flare in taking up comic character. He is natural and able to catch that moment. One of my favourite character in the movie was his 8 year old daugther - Madison Pettis. She is really good! I loved her acting so much!

4 of us who went for this movie, came out telling each other that there are some moments that we shed tears because of how the Father realised the importance of love and family. I guess we are reminded how each of us experience such love too from our father in heaven and family that God has given us.

I will give a thumbs up for this movie. It's intelligent and witty comedy and most of all, very meaningful!

A Strategic Church 2007

After all the fun of shopping, feasting and snockerlling, another highlight for the Phuket trip was the leadership conference. I was personally challenged and refreshed by the Hope Movement vision and many other International Hope leaders' testimonies. All the stories reminded me of God's promises and His love for his people.

Many of us were blessed by the fellowship with other Hope leaders. It was so cool and great to hear 1st hand stories from them over the meal time. The Tertiary leaders had this honour to have lunches with our Movement Elders (Ps PN, Ps Simon and sister Lai Eng). We have a face to face time of Q&A on ministry, movement direction and of course their sharing over Tertiary ministry in Singapore. We were reminded once again the importance of Tertiary students. This is the group of students where we can reach, build and send them to spread the love of Jesus.

(Tertiary leaders with Sister Hai Eng and Ps Simon)

I have gained alot in this LC. I brought back to Singapore 2 main points of all I have learnt. 1st is to grow and develop good spirit and attitudes. This is the foundation of a sustainable ministry. I saw how our Thai leaders served the Lord with many years and yet they are still so humble and zealous. I saw how God worked through our Thai brothers and sisters tremendously! With good attitudes and spirit accompanied with thought through startegies, God can work through us so much more. 2nd is the urgency of completing the Great Commission in our life time. As I shared with the RDMM on Sunday, we should build in our PolyDiNs people of a pioneering DNA locally and globally. We are discussing the possible country we should go in 2009. That means we hope to send a team to go and not just mission trips. :)

So we are prepare for this Novmeber growth and December growth! Use us Lord to bless more PolyDi students and Ns men!

Underwater World

I'm back after a long trip to Phuket and Staff retreat. As I was mentioning in the earlier entry, I will blog on some happenings and events in my Phuket trip. Few of the Tertiary leaders went 2 days earlier prior to the Leadership Conference. Since we are in Phuket, we will like to try the sea sports like Snockerlling to catch a glimps of underwater world.

This is my 1st time trying out snockerlling. I'm pretty excited over it. We went with some youth & adult leaders too. We booked a boat and there are about 10 of us. We went to a few island and the beaches were really good. The sand is soft and clean. You just feel like walking on the beach bare footed. Here are some nice photos taken but we didn't managed to take while we snocker.

I like the experience of admiring the underwater world. It was really beautiful. There so many different kinds of corals and different colours of fishes!!! I can't believe that every spices of fishes are so different from one another. Whoo! How beautiful!

I would like to go Phuket again to try out jet skii and para sailing. Of course, there are many fresh seafood along the PaTong Beach.

Cancer.....Cancerous cells....

I went to visit my Uncle at 8pm. This Uncle of mine is the elder brother of my dad. He contracted liver cancer a few months ago. In August, my siblings and I went to visit him in the hospital and he looked tired but still healthy. The doctor said that the cancerous cell is spreading fast but hopefully the injection will control the growth of the cell.

Then in 2nd week of Oct, we went to visit him and his health deteriorated. I was looking at him and he has slimmed down so much. He don't eat alot.

Then when i went with Wilson (my younger brother) to visit him just now and hope to pray for him & share with him. When we reached there, he was asleep. I heard from my cousins that he sleeps most of the time and don't talk much now. He don't eat and he was so skinny that I couldn't recognise him. He is so weak that he can't move from the bed and need people to help him his bathing and his bowels. We can't share with him the love of Jesus but just prayed for him. I asked God to bless him, take away the pain and heal him.

Within the span of 3 months, the cancerous cell has spread from his liver to other parts of his organs. From someone who is healthy to someone who can't move and awaiting for his death. The comforting thing for my uncle is that he has very good family. He has live to good old age of 73. His daughter and son were very loving and be with him as regular as possible. I must salute my aunty (his wife) who attend to him 24 hours in the sick bed.

2 things dawned on me while I travel back home just now.

1. Death will come to us one day either sonner or later. There are many things can wait but some can't. One thing can't wait is sharing the love of Jesus to someone whom we love very much. I was sharing with Wilson and Belle (Wilson's wife) over a super late dinner near Yishun : we should continue to share the Love fo Jesus to our mom and our pre believing siblings. We many think that we have alot of time but we may not have so much time. No one knows what happen tomorrow...

2. Love and support from loved ones are so important during crisis. It doesn't matter how much you have earned or achieved but at the end of our lives, ensure there are group of family and friends care for each other. To my personal opinion, this is true richness & wealth.

This world will be one side of heaven experientially when we eagerly share the love of God and live out the love of God to others!

do it in my life lord.....
