CYL invitation in every lecture hall and tutorial class!

wow! This morning, I sent a personalised sms to every CL and ULs to give the last shot of invitation in their campus. I challenged them to go to different lecture hall to invite the students... well, in my heart, when I challenge, I know the chances of people responding to the event may not be high but I will like to see more courage and zeal in the hearts of the CL.

I heard very encouraging stories as I read some of the TP leaders' blog. Initially, they were shocked to receive my sms and they were discussing amonf themselves. then they prayed and then went to different halls to invite. there were no immediate response from the students but the amazing thing was all lecturers allow them to invite to the whole class. Our TP leaders and members (they were mobolised) went and did public invitation in every class.

One TP CL was so joyful to do it over and over again! man! that's the way to reach people. Courage to do the right thing and courage to stand among the people to speak. I'm so proud of you guys!

At the moment, we have 22 strong teams and with more than 40 freshmen joining us for the whole day event. I'm looking forward as they will do lives with us and seeing Jesus living in us! That's the best witnessing story! Yeah! Sentosa, here we come to make this place a holy place!

KK LC learnings!

well, it's been a week that I have came back from KK LC. It was a great LC as we spent our days at beautiful mountain side! the air is fresh, the fellowship of poly peeps and leaders over the world. I got to celebrated Yin San's birthday (The Indo leader) and also Choon Yam's birthday (adult leader). I love the seafood and especially a kind of shell meat called elephant trunk! It was so delicous!

Poly peeps!

Look at the huge Teh Bing! It was a free drink for the birthday gal by the cafe!

Korean star look alike Caleb aka choon yam!

There are a few things I caught from the LC. Ps PN (Hope movement president) prophesied that the next 7 years will be a year of abundance! I took that word as encouragement and challenge. I knew the Lord spoke to me through that prophesy. He was speaking into the future for the movement and individual churches. I whispered to God in my heart, Lord, bless Hope Singapore, bless Poly region, bless my life as you are a God of abundance! So the church will continue to be the answer to man's issues!

Another thing I caught was a simple lunch with Ps Simon. He had a lunch with Tertiary leaders and we had a chance for question and answer with him. He was sharing and challenging us, especially me to scout and raise new and younger leaders. He was making a casual comment that I can bring 1-2 new leaders to pastor meeting in the future LC. wow! It's not about bring people to certain meeting, but I learnt that we MUST continue to scout and raise new and younger leaders! Like what I told all the poly leaders before the LC, we must see the upcoming ULs to be in 19 to 21 years old. Our current ULs age is 21-23. I think we need to always train and disciple younger leaders. Like our CLs should be in their 17 to 18 and UL to be in their 19 to 21 years old. So the RDMM who is in their 25 will grow in their role of SDL, DL, RL and pastor role! So those Poly, DI and NS peeps who read my blog, be challenged and desire to be God's leaders to serve. God is speaking to you through this blog...:)

The last thing I caught was Ps PN prophesied that the Great Commission will be fulfilled in our life time. Well, I'm not sure when Jesus is coming back. As he shared about what he saw and heard from other movement leaders, many sensed that Great Commission will be fulfilled in our life time. I'm not sure whoes life time? But it does reminded me of the Hope vision statement : To build strong and biblical people, to plant strong and biblical churches in Singaopre and all over the world in our life time! I will give my life to this ONE and ONLY calling. So growing Poly to 500 ASAP is one way to fulfill the Great Commission. 500 lives are changed, 500 lives are develop to theit fullest potential. 500 families will be touched. 500 communities will be brought to christ. whoo!

Our church, our group will experience more than what we have seen and seen. yes, more lives touched, more families won, more nations reached!

NTU brother crossed the line!

man, as I had mentioned last week, I met this NTU guy who brought by one of our Uni sister. She is unable to attend the uni camp and she brought him to church.

He was still considering to make the decision and guessed what?!?! he said yes to Jesus today in service! When the altar call was going on, he raised his hand quite a few times to signal to me that he is accepting Christ!

I was sooooo happy when I saw him coming to the front of the stage. Someone whom I got to know last week, came and enter this spiritual family! His eternity is changed! He may not know how it will be change, like I do not know much when I came to know Jesus. However, God is a faithful God and he will unveal his plan for our lives on earth and of course, we will celebrate in heaven after death!

When he took one step towards God, God took thousands of steps towards him! yeah!

I could sensed God leading me to speak and when we reached the video clip, I thought God used it to move in many hearts!

Imposter on 17th May @ Nexus

17th May is the event for PolyDiNs region, we are having our freshmen and recruits ESS. As what we have prayed as a region last Saturday. God will be bringing many freshmen of different kinds to our church. This is my 15th freshmen year involving in freshmen matriculation.

From freshmen intake in June/July and change to May and now the new term has started in April. From organising simple program to a full fledge of special service and Matthew events. From spending just a few hundreds of dollars to spending 2-3 thousand dollars. From events held in homes and to now held in places like Sentosa, sub-station and pubs. From doing street surveys with freshmen to doing analysis questionaire with them. Freshmen has changed as the years has passed but one thing has never changed yet has grown stronger is God's love for us.

May and June is a very happening month for everyone in the region. All the way from fasting& praying to sowing to matthew events in units, sub-D and Districts and region to preparing new leaders and shepherds, to invitation to organising events and so forth.

The primary motivation of freshmen matric over freshmen matric is all abt God's love. When I think about the Lord, how he saved me, how he raised me, how he filled me with the Holy Ghost, how he healed me in the ulttermost. (this song keep ringing in my mind since sat night). This is good enough for me to go another 15th year of fresmen Matriculation.

Check this service on 17th May @ Nexus. PolyDiNs, fill up 500 seats and 1 friend cross the line in a CG each. Let's rock Nexus with hope, love and faith of Jesus.

See you there!

My mom - God's given gift to me!

Let me begin with this song in my mind now... "Ting ma ma de hua, bia rang ta shou shang,..." it's a song sung my Jay Chou. I remembered we had this song presentation in Tertiary service last year during Mother's day special. And now, in 6 days time, we are celebrating this special day with our mom. Yesterday during the TSPT meeting, we are talking about it and also discussing what's coming this saturday service.

It's timely to thank God for my one and only mom in my life. There is a chinese saying " We can choose our friends and spouse, but we can't choose who is our parent." God has placed them in our lives and it's God's given gift to us.

I have an excellent mummy. I always call her "mother". She is a slim (very slim) lady. She takes good care of all my siblings very well. She gave birth to 4 of us and yet she can maintain that figure, cool! I hope to get her genes, hehehe! She is a full time housewife and she has given her youth and years in taking care of the family. She is a simple lady and is faithful to her one and only husband. She is not demanding from her children and she is very generous to all her children. One thing I'm impressed of her is that she is really committed to my dad. When dad got a serious stroke 71/2 years ago, she struggled in the beginning yet she continued to take care of him till now. Now, she has adjusted well and I learnt this great lesson from her life is that she took her marriage vow very seriously! mom, you are my hero man! Oh, another thing I really like is my mom's cooking! I loved all the dishes she cooked - the Teochew food! yummy! (Salted vegetables soup, steam egg, cabbage fried rice, fried pork, Ba Gu teh, Sze Chuan soup, and many many more....). The way she show her love to others is feed them. Those who stayed or stays with me, can testify that. She will always feed them! ha!

My 2 brothers and my elder sis, may not be able to spend quantity time with her, our mom didn't get upset with us because she knows each of us have our committment in their own family and work. She is a very understanding leady. I'm really very grateful to God that She is given to us!

This photo taken in 2007 Lunar New year. The slimmest lady is mom!
Last thursday, during the labour day holiday, I went shopping with Mom at Toa Payoh! We just walked and eat for 3-4 hours. We just spent time looking at things and just taking her out for a break from staying at home. My mom just enjoy this simple time of buying clothes and walking around.

My mom is the greatest woman in the world! I admire her, I respect her and most of all, I do hope she will come to know Jesus and we will meet each other after death and be sister in Christ! ha!

Jesus, bless my mom and grant her good health. Let her experience love and care from the children. And through us, she will understand how much Jesus cares for her. Bring her to understand you and know you. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen!

Xi You Ji : A reality Chinese show in channel U

I have been missing xi you ji part 1 as it has ended. I love it sooooo much as it is a meaningful show and few brought tears to my eyes. It talks about Singaporean lived in different part of the world and how their lives impacted the locals there.

Let me show you the one that moved me so much that I can't keep crying. the TV host, Belinda Mak cried too. I think if I'm suppose to host the program, I will be like her. It talks about a young lady went to this part of China. she is a doctor and how she cared and takes care of the locals and how her live helped the people. Personally, I was reminded that we have only one life to live and should live it fully for others.

We never know how much we give can help someone in their living.

Now, part 2 is here! Check it out and be blessed and challenged!
