Ps 23
let's memorise these few verses of a personal psalms of David. He was running away from his son whom wanted his life. David's throne was overthrown and he was running for his life. What a life? He wrote the 1st verse : The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not be in want.Given a deeper thought, usually we will complain about the situation or cry out to God abt how I felt terribly if I were in David's shoe. What caused King David to talk about the role of God in his life - His shepherd.
He reminded himself God's role in his life... Shepherd will protect, guide, comfort and provide for him. This is such a simple yet important truth when i go through tough and terrible time in life.
I just recited Ps 23 last night before I sleep. I recite it slowly and reminded myself who God is and what he will and can do to me.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
I love You Jesus...
