happiness quotient

Acts 20:35 (NIV) "....remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

Acts 20:35 (The message) "....remembering that our Master said, 'You're far happier giving than getting.'"

This the verse that I have pondered more last few days. I'm writing this entry at National Library. There are many books that address the issue of happiness. There are hundreds of books that focus on how to live a happy life.

There are many ways to attain happiness and one of the proven way (to my personal opinion) is what the verse said - it's more blessed to give than to receive. I'm FAR happier giving than getting. I could testify that because it's by giving to someone then I could experience the joy in that someone. That joy has more lasting effect.

Self-absorbed life is never happy. Self focus life is never happy. I have been there and experience and could testify that.

Others-centered life is fulfilling. God focus life is satisfying. I have been there and experience and could testify.

So to increase happiness quotient is to give and give away generously unto Him and others. :):)
